GRAND FORKS — In its second year, the University of North Dakota Space Operations Summit’s focus lies in satellites, defense, hypersonics and research.
Scott Snyder, vice president of research and economic development, mentioned research being done on spacesuits and hypersonics, the latter of which crosses the boundary between space and national security.
“There are going to be some outstanding speakers both from UND … and then some really great external speakers that are coming in,” he said.
The Space Operations Summit will be held Wednesday, Nov. 5, and Thursday, Nov. 6, at the Memorial Union.
