PORTLAND, Ore. — An Oregon man was detained by immigration officers while at an area hardware store last week.

Orlando Vazquez's family said he was picked up by ICE in the parking lot of a Northeast Portland hardware store Thursday afternoon.

Orlando's son, Vincent Vazquez, shared the details of his father's detainment.

"He got pushed to a corner," Vazquez said. "He got trapped. They tried to scare him to get him out of his car and eventually ended up cracking his window."

Vazquez said his father was at the hardware store to pick up a mop head on his way to work as a janitor, a job he's had for more than 25 years.
