KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
Documents from the Missouri Division of Fire Safety show that seat belts were quickly replaced on a popular ride after reports from riders and an inspection revealed they were not functioning properly. Advertisement
Concerns arose last week after a couple alleged they had to hold down the girls near them while riding the Mamba because the seat belts reportedly unlatched .
An inspection on Oct. 30 revealed that at least some seat belts on the Mamba were “worn” and “not locking.” The ride was taken out of service until seat belts could be replaced. The Mamba was up and running again on the same day after repairs were made.
