HARRISBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) -- A home contractor in Western Pa. is being sued by Attorney General Dave Sunday for failing to complete projects or offer refunds.
The lawsuit, filed by the Attorney General's office, alleges that A&S Contracting and Roofing, and its owner, Stephen Spallone, violated the Pennsylvania Consumer Protection Law by abandoning projects after receiving more than $56,000 in deposits from the victims. It's alleged that Spallone and his company used non-compliant contracts.
“This contractor took large sums of money from Pennsylvanians wanting to improve their homes, then turned his back on them,” Sunday said. “Our Bureau of Consumer Protection will adamantly advocate for homeowners whose dreams of property upgrades and additions are ruined by neglectful contractors.”
