MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. —
A man has been arrested for allegedly starting a structure fire following an argument with his wife in McDowell County, North Carolina.
On Oct. 27, deputies with the McDowell County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from fire and emergency service crews about a man walking away from the area of a structure fire. The man, identified as 40-year-old Jeremiah Nathan Bartlett, was stopped nearby.
An investigation determined that Bartlett had started the fire after getting into an argument with his wife. The argument led him to send video and threatening text messages to his wife, confirming that he started the fire.
