Autumn has settled in, and California is about to “fall back.” Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, giving Golden State residents an extra hour of sleep — and earlier sunsets. While much of the country debates whether to ditch the twice-a-year clock change, Californians will still join most of the U.S. in resetting their clocks this weekend.
Despite calls to get rid of the clock change , daylight saving time is still in season across most of the U.S., as the twice-a-year movement of clocks either backward or forward accounts for more daylight in the mornings or evenings for millions of Americans.
