CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson University Cooperative Extension has launched a new Food Pantry Giving Guide aimed at helping individuals, families and organizations make more nutritious and meaningful contributions to food pantries across South Carolina.

The guide offers specific recommendations for shelf-stable foods — including whole grains, low-sodium vegetables, proteins, fruits, dairy options and seasonings — with a focus on items that are both healthy and easy to prepare. It also highlights staple emergency supplies and notes which perishable items can be accepted when refrigeration is available.
