PITTSBURGH, Pa. (BLACK AND GOLD NATION) - After reports that Marquez Valdes-Scantling was signing last week with the Steelers, the veteran wide receiver will finally put pen to paper and join the team this week. Longtime NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported that the USF product was in Pittsburgh on Monday and signed with the team.
Valdes-Scantling is a familiar target for Aaron Rodgers. The two played four seasons together in Green Bay from 2018-2021. During his time as a Packer, the 31-year-old set career highs in touchdowns and receiving yards.
"I love [Marquez Valdes-Scantling]. I've always enjoyed playing with him. He's one of my favorite teammates of all time," Rodgers said last week. "He is a really special guy, and I think MVS can still really play."
Since leaving Green Bay, Valdes
