PITTSBURGH, Pa. (BLACK AND GOLD NATION) - The Steelers defensive back room has been decimated and depleted this season. Despite that, Pittsburgh is releasing cornerback Beanie Bishop from its practice squad.
The WVU product clawed his way to a starting spot out of training camp last season after being undrafted. Bishop had ups and downs in his rookie campaign, but shined at times with four interceptions.
His role diminished last year once Cam Sutton returned from suspension. This year, he fell victim to some of the moves Pittsburgh made in the offseason by signing Brandin Echols and Darius Slay, as well as trading for Jalen Ramsey.
Bishop was the biggest surprise that didn't make Pittsburgh's active roster after cutdown day. While the secondary room has seen its fair share of injuries,
