SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame defeated Boston College 25-10 this past Saturday, but it wasn’t always pretty.
The Irish were up just 12-7 at halftime against the one-win Eagles, and a big reason for those struggles was the kicking game.
Notre Dame used three different kickers and finished 0-for-1 on field goals and 1-for-3 on extra points.
If the Irish want to make the College Football Playoff and win games once there, they must resolve their kicking problems.
Head coach Marcus Freeman acknowledged the team is working on it right now.
“As far as the kicking situation, we owe it to the team to be able to make extra points if we’re gonna attempt it,” Freeman said. “And if we don’t think we’ll make an extra point, we shouldn’t attempt it. I have confidence that we’re going to be
