BOISE, Idaho — Tuesday is Election Day , and while odd-numbered years do not receive the same attention as even-numbered years, such as presidential and midterm elections, perhaps they should.

That is because local elections, including those for mayors, city councils, and school boards, have a greater impact on our daily lives than federal elections.
