Georgia women's basketball defeated Alabama State, 73-44, in its 2025-26 season opener on Monday night. It's the fewest number of points the Lady Bulldogs have ever given up in a season opener.

The chemistry hype was real

Of the 12 women on the Lady Bulldogs' roster, eight of them are new: three freshman and five transfers. Yet you'd have no idea if you were coming in off the street.

Ten players took the court on Monday, and nine of them scored against the Hornets — guards Savannah Henderson and Aubrey Beckham are recovering from injuries.
