STORRS, Conn. (WTNH) -- The University of Connecticut's men's basketball team had its season opener at the Gampel Pavilion in Storrs Monday evening, beating the University of New Haven Chargers decisively, 79-55.
The game didn't tip off until 7 p.m., but UConn fans were waiting in line before the sun even rose Monday morning.
"I think we're going to have to sleep out here as the games go on and the games get bigger," said UConn junior Bella Tomaino.
The students waiting in line for tickets said that they're not nearly as concerned about being up so early as they are about the team being ranked No. 4 instead of No. 1 going into the season.
