OXFORD, Miss — The Norfolk State women’s basketball team tipped off a new chapter under first-year head coach Jermaine Woods on Monday afternoon, opening the 2025-26 season on the road against No. 12 Ole Miss. The Spartans hung tough early but couldn’t keep pace with the nationally ranked Rebels, falling 87-46 in Oxford, Mississippi.
Jasha Clinton led Norfolk State (0-1) with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, while Da’Brya Clark added 14 points and four rebounds. Cire Worley anchored the defensive effort, grabbing a team-high seven boards.
