ANNAPOLIS, MD (WFSB) - No. 1 UConn heads to Maryland to take on No. 20 Louisville in the Armed Forces Classic on Tuesday night.

The women’s basketball teams tip off at 5:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis.

Fans can watch the game on ESPN.

The classic aims to bring college basketball to U.S. troops wherever they’re stationed. The game was supposed to be played in Germany; however, the game was moved to Annapolis .

The event also marks the first time the classic features women’s basketball.

UConn is coming off its 12th NCAA Tournament national championship.

The team is 43-8 all time in season openers, and 43-8 against Louisville .
