HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WPTA) - Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC (Bendix) shared Monday it has officially activated its second solar installation in Huntington, four years after its first installation.
Leaders say at full capacity, the activation of the new 2,300-panel solar array allows for nearly half of the Bendix Distribution Center’s energy needs to be fulfilled.
According to a press release, this expansion allows for 3 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy annually, avoiding more than 1,000 tons of CO₂ emissions a year.
“This project represents another important investment in the cleaner, more efficient future we’re building across Bendix. It reflects our continued commitment to renewable energy, to our community, and to doing what’s right for the environment.” Bendix environment
