WAYLAND, Mich. — A 17-year-old girl who was involved in the wrong-way crash on US-131 that left three others dead and two more injured has died.
Lt. Brandon Berens with the Allegan County Sheriff's Office confirmed the death Tuesday, days after the crash.
It happened early Sunday morning near mile marker 57 in Martin Township.
Berens said the wrong-way driver had gotten off on the 129th Avenue exit near Gun Lake Casino, then drove the wrong way down the US-131 northbound exit ramp, where she later crashed head-on into another vehicle.
Berens said the driver was a 38-year-old woman from Grand Rapids. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the other car, a 16-year-old and 18-year-old were killed. The 17-year-old girl had also been in that car.
Two others remain in critical conditio
