NILES, Mich. (WNDU) - A Mishawaka teen will serve time in prison after he pleaded guilty in a road rage shooting this past summer .
According to our reporting partners at The Herald-Palladium , 19-year-old Ryland Mayfield pleaded guilty to two counts of assault with intent to murder and was sentenced to two concurrent prison terms.
The shooting happened back on June 6 near JD’S Truck Stop at U.S. 12 and Mayflower Road in Bertrand Township.
Investigators say Mayfield ended up shooting two people. They both survived, but one victim had serious injuries while the other had their ear ripped by a bullet.
As for Mayfield’s sentence, The Herald-Palladium says he received a sentence of 12 to 59 years in prison on one count and a concurrent 10 to 59 years in prison on the other count.
