Master P started his University of New Orleans era with a bang on Monday as the men's basketball team upset TCU 78-74 .

Master P, also known by his real name, Percy Miller, is the Privateers' President of Basketball Operations and assistant coach. His alias with the team is "Coach P."

UNO celebrated the victory in the locker room with a Gatorade shower for head coach Stacy Hollowell and a moshpit. Coach P also held up a colorful slingshot and yelled in victory during the celebration.

Senior guard Coleton Benson, a Texas State transfer, led all scorers with 22 points to go with 6 rebounds. Senior guard Jakevion Buckley (13) and sophomore guard MJ Thomas (10) also finished scoring in double digits.
