A new-look UNO men’s basketball team opened its season on the road against nonconference foe TCU and delivered a 78-74 upset win.

The win was UNO’s first against a power conference opponent since 2016 and marked TCU’s first nonconference loss since 2022. UNO opened the 2025-26 season with a 1-0 record despite being a 21.5-point underdog at DraftKings prior to tipoff.
