KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The minimum wage for Missourians is going up next year.

Starting on January 1, 2026, the minimum wage in the state will be raised to $15.00 an hour. The current minimum wage is $13.75 per hour.

On July 10, 2025, Governor Kehoe signed into law HB 567, which modifies provisions of the Missouri minimum wage law.

Employers will also be required to pay tipped employees at least 50% of the minimum wage, $7.50 per hour, plus any amount necessary to bring the employee’s total pay to a minimum of $15.00 per hour.
