WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - We will remain dry and breezy today, but rain, gusty winds, and some snow will come into the forecast on Wednesday.
Wednesday morning, we will see a few showers, but by the afternoon, widespread moderate rain will overspread the north country. After 6 PM, Wednesday evening rain showers will start to transition into snow showers with some light accumulation expected in the higher elevations.
Winds on Wednesday evening will also become gusty, with winds gusting to 40 MPH or greater during the evening.
Thursday morning, we will see a few light snow showers coming to an end.
Our focus will then shift to a weekend system that will bring rain, gusty winds, and likely some lake effect snow by next week.
