BATON ROUGE, La. - Wade Rousse, the current president of McNeese State University, has been selected to serve as the next president of the LSU system, which includes LSUS and LSU Health Shreveport.
The LSU Board of Supervisors began deliberations this morning, after narrowing the field to three candidates, and announced their choice three hours later.
The LSU Board also named Jim Dalton to the position of executive vice president of the system and chancellor of the LSU Baton Rouge campus. Dalton is currently the executive vice president and provost of the University of Alabama.
Rousse and Dalton replace William Tate IV, who left in June to be president of Rutgers University in New Jersey. Tate held both positions during his tenure at LSU.
