WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A Wichita woman is demanding change to protect students at Wichita Heights High School.
Amy Manning said she was driving down Hillside late on Monday morning. She said she slowed down for a group of students crossing the road outside of the school, when suddenly a student walked out in front of her car.
In her own words, Manning says she almost killed the child. Now, she wants something done to make this area safer for students.
“One of the students just decided to come right out, and I came so close to hitting this young lady,” Manning said. “I was shaking, I really was. Even today. I mean, I came so close to hurting this young woman.”
After almost hitting the student, she stopped at Wichita Heights High School to see if something could be done to improve studen
