MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The Employee Health Services Clinic is part of a broader initiative to make healthcare more accessible for public servants while reducing taxpayer spending.

“A place where people feel comfortable in coming to feel very welcoming, feel excited about coming,” said Kimberly Young, the clinic’s nurse practitioner.

“I’m excited to have them, just to be a servant to them. But the number two thing would be that we could prevent something from happening before, you know, an illness or a condition.”

The clinic’s opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m., attended by parish officials and healthcare staff. The facility is designed to serve not only the Police Jury employees but also their families.
