Bangor voters elect new city council, school committee members

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Bangor residents elected three new city council members and two school committee members Tuesday.

Susan Faloon, Daniel Carson and Angela Walker won the three available seats on the Bangor City Council. Nine candidates ran for the positions.

Mallory Cook and Benjamin Speed were elected to the Bangor School Committee. Four candidates competed for the two available seats.

Bangor City Clerk Lisa Goodwin says the flow of people was steady with a higher voter turnout this year compared to previous off-year elections. She estimates the Cross Insurance Center saw about 400 people Tuesday morning, kicking off the day of making voices heard.
