Vermont soccer quickly put to rest who would enter as the top seed for the upcoming 2025 America East Conference tournament. Three first-half goals in the regular-season finale at Binghamton saw to that.
The defending NCAA champions and currently the No. 2 team in the country, the Catamounts blasted the Bearcats for a 3-0 victory on Tuesday, Nov. 4, to wrap the conference's No. 1 seed. It's Vermont's first outright regular-season league title since 2017.
Vermont (12-0-5, 6-0-1) earns a first-round bye and will host an America East semifinal game at Virtue Field on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
In the Nov. 4 finale, David Ismail struck for goals in the 27th and 39th minute to push his team-high total to nine tallies on the season. On the opening tally, Ismail headed in Nick Lockermann's corner
