Following an extensive undercover operation by Kings Mountain Police Department, an illegal gambling operation was shut down and two people were arrested Oct. 30, according to Kings Mountain Police.

A news release said Kings Mountain Police Department executed a search warrant in coordination with the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations at a business known as “Lucky Teeters” at 402 E. King St.

A sign outside the building, which also houses a hair salon, advertises the business.

The release said police received multiple complaints from people reporting suspected illegal gambling activity at the location.
