Loveland mayoral candidate Pat McFall was all smiles as talked with supporters at the Forge Event Center on Tuesday night. As of 9 p.m., he held a slim lead over retired mediator Troy Daniels, with 51.1% of the vote.

“The city is ready for a new direction,” McFall said. “I think the majority of us really want to get the partisan aspect out of City Council and get back to doing the city business.”

McFall and his family have called Loveland home since the late 1980s, aside from a brief period in the early ’90s. A retired U.S. Marine with 22 years of service, he went on to work for the nutritional supplement company EAS before spending nearly two decades in information technology with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Bureau of Reclamation.
