A new state office to support Delaware’s immigrant communities has been created.
Gov. Matt Meyer announced the launch of the Office of New Americans on Nov. 3 , adding it will be responsible for “ensuring every immigrant has the support they need” to thrive in the First State.
This office has been contemplated for some time. State Sen. Darius Brown has backed similar efforts over the years to make this office a reality in Delaware.
