FAIRMONT — Mold remediation is proceeding well at East Fairmont High School, according to a report from an air quality expert from the West Virginia Department of Education delivered Monday at the regular Board of Education meeting.

“When I do these walkthroughs, one of the things I ask myself is: would I let my child or my granddaughter be in this building?” Emmitt Allen, HVAC technician and certified indoor environmentalist with the state Department of Education, said. “I have no issue with it. I think the building is satisfactory.”
