CHESTER – Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler defeated his Democratic opponent Tuesday night in the race for the DA’s office.
Hoovler, the incumbent Republican, defeated former chief assistant District Attorney Alan Joseph by 9,000 votes—just over 56 percent.
This will be Hoovler’s fourth term as District Attorney and for the past 12 years, he said his objectives have not changed.
“Getting after narcotics traffickers and gun traffickers in Orange County and keeping this county safe–that has always been my goal,” said Hoovler. “It has always been my mission, and that’s what I plan on doing.”
Hoovler says the greatest challenges of his next four years will be navigating criminal justice reforms and keeping up with technology.
