On Wednesday at 2:18 a.m. the National Weather Service released a high wind watch valid from 7 p.m. until Thursday 7 a.m. for Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic, Cape May and Burlington counties.
The weather service comments, “West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 55 mph possible.”
“Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles,” says the weather service. “Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.”
