Police have issued a major update after two people were injured in a fight in Coventry . It happened in Wyken .

Officers responded to reports of fighting on Ansty Road at around 11.45pm on Saturday (November 1). CoventryLive understands a group allegedly 'gatecrashed' a wedding party at The Wyken Inn.

Chairs were reportedly hurled, with one woman rushed to A&E with head injuries. A man was also attacked and sustained injuries.

A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and taken in for questioning. He was subsequently bailed.

Investigations are ongoing. Witnesses have been urged to get in touch with West Midlands Police on 101.
