WASHINGTON, N.C. (WITN) - Police say they’ve arrested a man suspected of an armed robbery at a Washington supply store.

Last Wednesday, Washington police officers were called to the Tractor Supply on 15th Street for a report of a theft.

Police say upon arrival, employees at the store told officers that the suspect had implied that he was armed with a gun.

Following an investigation, police got warrants to arrest 26-year-old Tyrese Starkie.

Starkie was arrested by police on Monday.

Warrants say Starkie had reached into his waistband, telling an employee, “Your life ain’t worth it.”

Warrants go on to say that Starkie stole a chainsaw, trimmer, and a trimmer/blower combination tool that cost in total more than $750.
