MENA, Ark. — Queen Wilhelmina State Park, one of the region's most popular tourist destinations, now offers visitors an upgraded outdoor experience. The Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism officially opened a newly improved trail system at the park this week.
Located about 13 miles from Mena, Queen Wilhelmina has long been a draw for hikers, bikers, and nature enthusiasts. Hundreds of thousands of visitors have explored its trails over the years, and officials said the new improvements will make the park more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Shea Lewis, secretary of the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism, said the upgrades enhance the park’s versatility and inclusivity.
