LEXINGTON, Ky. — A civil engagement team in Lexington is working to update the rules for how the city’s government system and leadership are configured.
Kitt Anderson is the five-year-long deputy director for CivicLex, a nonprofit she joined after being a part of Americorp, with a passion to continue to serve and grow community relationships. Since then, she has helped this community-involved, policy-engaged group maintain a sole mission.
“Your roads, your schools, your housing, your neighborhoods, and economic development. All of that in our community is most impacted at the local level. That's really where we're focused, and that's where we're trying to make it easier to get involved,” Anderson said.
Since 2017, the group has often connected in neighborhood programs, through newslette
