Voting will begin at 7 AM in 121 constituencies across 18 districts of the state

The first phase of voting for the 243-member Bihar Assembly elections will be held tomorrow across 121 constituencies in 18 districts of the state.

Voting will begin at 7 AM and continue till 5 PM. A total of 1,314 candidates are contesting in the first phase.

Key candidates are:

Raghopur: Tejashwi Yadav (RJD)

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, the Mahagathbandhan alliance’s chief minister face, is set to contest a high-stakes battle for the Raghopur Assembly seat against NDA candidate Satish Kumar (BJP) and the Jan Suraaj Party’s (JSP) Chanchal Kumar.

The Yadav-dominated seat had been with the RJD’s first family since party founder Lalu Prasad’s victory in 1995 – except during 2010-2015, when the JD(U) won it.
