GASTONIA, N.C. — Gastonia Police are asking for the public's help identifying the man who robbed a Pizza Hut at gunpoint last month.
It happened at the Pizza Hut on South New Hope Road around 11 p.m. on Oct. 7. Investigators say the suspect entered the bathroom before exiting with a mask over his face and a black hooded sweatshirt.
Moments later, the man is seen on surveillance video approaching the front counter with a rifle. He then approaches an employee and forces them to open the cash register at gunpoint. Gastonia police say the suspect ran off with around $350 in cash. He also stole a bottled drink on his way out of the restaurant.
No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Gastonia Police at 704-861-8000 immediately.
