Some Silicon Valley entrepreneurs are making a big, new investment to help homes like yours defend themselves from wildfires.
Frontline Wildfire Defense says it scored an eight-figure round of funding from venture capitalists in Menlo Park.
We first showed you Frontline’s unique roof- and eve-mounted sprinkler system after the CZU fires back in 2020. The system automatically douses a house with water and firefighting foam when a wildfire is nearby.
After the L.A. wildfires, founder Harry Statter told NBC Bay Area that 96% of customers’ homes in the fire zones there survived. Statter says that success rate impressed investors enough to inject $48 million dollars to help his business grow.
