AMES, Iowa —
The Iowa Board of Regents announced the second of two finalists for the Iowa State University president position.
David J. Cook, the current president at North Dakota State University, was announced as a finalist.
Cook is an Ames native who attended Iowa State University, according to his Curriculum Vitae. He graduated in 1992 from Iowa State with a Bachelor's in Political Science and Speech Communication before obtaining two more degrees at the University of Kansas.
Cook became the president at North Dakota State in 2022. Before that, he worked in various administrative roles at Kansas and within the University of Kansas Medical Center.
