CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WBOY) - The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection's Air Quality Board considered several topics related to the air quality permit that was granted for a data center and power plant in Tucker County earlier this year.
During a hearing in Charleston on Tuesday, the board heard from a representative of Tucker United, the West Virginia Highlands Conservancy and the Sierra Club, who appealed the Air Quality Board's decision to issue the air quality permit, and Fundamental Data, the company that is planning to build the proposed data center.
This meeting was not an evidentiary hearing to determine if the permit would be upheld, but rather a hearing for a request for additional discovery by Tucker United, the West Virginia Highlands
