CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — The West Virginia Division of Highways has scheduled full closures of U.S. Route 50 both east and westbound for a bridge project.
Starting on Friday, Nov. 14, Route 50 will be fully closed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. between the Joyce Street and Chestnut Street exits. The overnight closure will continue on Saturday, Nov. 15 and Sunday, Nov. 16.
The closure is so Division of Highways crews can remove existing beams from bridge structures on the road. During the day, one lane of Route 50 in the area will be closed from Nov. 14 to 16.
During the closure, there will be a designated detour through downtown Clarksburg. The DOH release said that drivers should take the Joyce Street, South Chestnut Street or West Pike Street exits and use Pike Street or Main Street to
