FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — A man was arrested for allegedly taking nearly $15,000 from the High Life Lounges where he worked in Fairmont.

The owner of three High Life Lounges in Fairmont, located on Morgantown Avenue, Fairmont Avenue and East Park Avenue, reported a case of possible embezzlement to the Fairmont Police Department in September of this year, according to a criminal complaint. Five recent bank and ATM deposits had not been made, totaling $14,986, the owner told police.

The owner, identified as Robert Blair, 39, of Shinnston, was the manager who was in charge of depositing the funds during the time in question. Video evidence showed that Blair picked up the deposits, but they never made it to their intended destinations, according to the complaint.
