CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Clarksburg City Council members on Thursday evening discussed a proposal by Healthy Harrison to do a feasibility study on reopening the former YMCA of North Central West Virginia. Council also discussed naming a recently completed bridge on Haymond Highway and giving a $10,000 contribution to the Harrison County Senior Center.
John Paul Nardelli, executive director of Healthy Harrison, proposed a comprehensive viability and feasibility study on the potential reopening of the YMCA, with a proposed consulting fee of $10,000.
“We thought it would be most fitting to address the question as to whether or not we could formally be involved by first taking the appropriate steps to do a deep dive on feasibility, viability, financial kind of analysis of the Y,” Nardelli said.
