NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. ( WECT /Gray News) - A man who allegedly drugged two teens’ Dairy Queen Blizzards is now accused of contacting one of the victims.

James Yokely Jr. appeared in court on Tuesday for a bond review hearing. During the hearing, the prosecution claimed Yokely tried to contact one of the victims.

In August, Yokely flagged down a police officer outside of a gas station and said his 16-year-old step-granddaughter and her 15-year-old friend found pills in their Dairy Queen Blizzards.

Police determined the pills contained MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy, and cocaine. They also discovered that Yokely was the one who put the drugs in the teens’ Blizzards.

After his arrest, he posted a $100,000 bond with the condition that he have no contact with the two alleged victims.
