Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Mike Bush has again been forced to defend his travel in the police helicopter after revealing he has used the police air wing on a second occasion and his wife has also flown in it.
Last month, Commissioner Bush apologised after it emerged he had travelled to Hobart on the police helicopter for a conference.
He described it as "the wrong decision" and said he "should have been more patient and more diligent in terms of taking a commercial flight instead of using a helicopter".
Commissioner Bush has now issued a further statement following newspaper reports that he travelled in the police helicopter on another occasion.
He also confirmed his wife had travelled in the police helicopter separately, not in the company of the chief commissioner.
