A program that allows locals to bring smiles to the faces of children in the developing world is in full swing in Grey-Bruce right now.
The annual Operation Christmas Child program is at its height, with a final push on to fill as many shoeboxes as possible with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items along with personal notes and photos to be delivered to children around the world during the holiday season.

Longtime participant Wilma Frost of Owen Sound said Wednesday that the program is very rewarding and one that she loves taking part in. Frost has even travelled to Mexico, Senegal and Guatemala in the past to experience children receiving shoeboxes from Canada.
