A Southern California woman who was convicted of killing a Hollywood actress with a botched silicone injection into her buttocks was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison on Wednesday.
Libby Adame, 55, was convicted earlier this month in Riverside County of second-degree murder and practicing medicine without a certification for the March 2025 death of Cindyana Santangelo, who received the injection at her Malibu home.
Santangelo, 58, appeared in television programs including "CSI: Miami," "ER," and "Married with Children," and the music video for Young MC’s 1989 hit "Bust a Move."
During the trial, Santangelo’s husband, Frank Santangelo, testified that Adame fled their home as his wife began convulsing after the injection.
Adame had a prior history of performing unauthorized silicon
