Owen Sound’s mayor likes the sound of more money for infrastructure in Tuesday’s federal budget proposals.

It’s too early to pass final judgment, said Ian Boddy on Wednesday, but efforts to help build more housing and related infrastructure, and to assist hospital and colleges could benefit the city and the county.

The budget comes up for a confidence vote later this month and the Liberal government needs two more votes or abstentions from two non-government members for it to pass. If it doesn’t pass, the government would fall and likely trigger a federal election.
